The Adult Basic Education program at Y.O.U., Inc. provides structured academic supports and tutoring to students who have dropped out of a traditional high school, and need to either further enhance their academic skills or obtain a General Educational Development (GED). The program’s smaller classrooms and very low student-to-teacher ratio allow students to improve their academic performance by meeting with a certified Educational Specialist five days per week, for 5 hours each day. At the same time, students work to develop pre-employment skills, explore higher education or career opportunities, and become economically self-sufficient.
The Adult Basic Education program is free to eligible participants who are referred through Workforce Central Career Center (WCCC) in Southbridge.
Students must be unemployed and referred directly by WCCC in Southbridge.
