PUNCH! (Peers Uncovering New Coping Habits)
PUNCH! provides weekly anger management group treatment for both middle and high school aged youth for 10 weeks, including 9 Core Sessions and one Family Session. The program serves youth who have presented with poor anger management and general coping skills. In some cases youth may be referred by their schools, EMH, DYS, other social service providers, or the Juvenile Court if they have displayed and/or threatened physical or verbal aggression toward others, or as the result of the destruction of property.
The group has rolling admissions and meets once a week for one hour. PUNCH! is facilitated by a Masters’ level clinician, supported by licensed clinical supervisors and staff who are also available to provide individual and family therapy, and case management services to enrolled youth and parents or caretakers.
Youth referred to PUNCH! include boys and girls ages 11 to 17.
