Our Revenue Sources
As you can see from this graph, Y.O.U., Inc.'s operating revenue
comes from a variety of sources. One of our greatest successes over the years has been to
diversify these sources as much as possible. We have not made the error that some human
services organizations make of becoming too dependent on any one funding source.
Our greatest area of growth during the past few years has been in
managed care dollars. We are becoming the referral of choice for area insurance companies
and HMOs. The percentage of our revenue from managed care has gone from 14% to over 17%
since 1995.
Y.O.U., Inc. depends upon only a tiny percentage of its annual
operating budget from the private sector. Our major fundraising sources during a typical
year include our Annual Fund, gifts from individual donors, corporate and foundation
gifts, Ski Fest, our annual special event, miscellaneous donations and special projects.
In FY '98, we raised $339,500 towards our operating budget and $750,000 towards our $1.8
million capital campaign for the Joy and Robert Wetzel Children's Center.
Y.O.U., Inc. has a loyal group of donors to whom we are extremely
grateful. We depend on these private donations each year to balance our budget. We hope
you will show your support of our work by becoming a contributor.
