The clinical team at Cottage Hill Academy believes in a treatment model that incorporates cutting edge trauma research, as well as the deep reservoirs of strength and resilience in the girls and families we serve. Our interventions focus on building upon strengths, developing resiliency and increasing safe and healthy connections through a trauma-informed treatment philosophy that is also sensitive to the specific developmental needs of adolescent girls. Our masters level clinical staff offer a group program that includes both talk and expressive therapies aimed at enhancing self regulation skills and self-esteem, as well as creating internal networks of support whereby girls’ can learn about themselves and others in safe ways. We believe in every girl’s capacity for growth and healing, and we actively collaborate with families and other valuable resources in girl’s lives in order to access each girl’s potential. The belief that families are central to girls’ healing is a core component of our treatment philosophy. We support family involvement and collaboration in a number of ways including inviting parents to case reviews and treatment planning meetings. We are committed to involving families as full participants in the creation and review of their daughter’s treatment plan. |
