AFTER HOURS ALTERNATIVE LOCKUP PROGRAM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The After Hours Program is available to take police department referrals from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hours on the weekends. (Please note: Referrals to the program between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. can be made by contacting the program coordinator at (508) 849-5600 ext 215.)

The After Hours On-Call Social Worker will assess status offenders and non-violent delinquents at the police station, transport them to a placement resource and transport the juvenile to court the following business day. If, for some reason, the juvenile is inappropriate for placement with the After Hours Program, the social worker will refer the officer to an appropriate resource.

HOW TO REFER

To make a referral to the program after 5:00 p.m. please call:

1-800-435-9990

The call will be answered by a Crisis Center operator who will page the on-call social worker.

The on-call social worker will return your call, gather some basic information and let you know the arrival time to your station.

During regular business hours, you may contact Deb Spangler directly at (508) 849-5600 ext. 215.
