Our Counseling Centers are in three key Central MA communities, Gardner, Southbridge, and Worcester, allowing us to offer outpatient mental and behavioral health support throughout most of Central Massachusetts. At all three Centers we support people who are experiencing mental and behavioral health issues, including family conflict, school problems, divorce/remarriage issues, depression and suicide prevention, anxiety and stress, parenting issues, substance use, bereavement and loss, family violence, illness and disability, physical/sexual abuse, other forms of trauma, domestic violence, and issues related to sexual orientation and/or gender identity. The Centers are licensed by the Department of Public Health (DPH), and YOU, Inc. is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).
Counseling Across Communities
Caring & Talented Clinicians
Our caring Counseling Centers staff members provide individual, family, and group counseling in English and Spanish, as well as ASL services. All clinicians are trained in working with children, adolescents, and families, and in multiple clinical specialty areas and have, or are pursuing, a masters or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, mental health counseling, clinical social work or related degree. All clinicians are working towards licensure in their related discipline.
Latino/a /x Services: For more than 20 years, we have offered counseling in Spanish through our bi-lingual clinicians. For many of our families, even though the children speak English the parents only speak Spanish. Bilingual counseling is important because emotional experience is often expressed in one’s first language.
Accessing Assessments, Accessing the Centers
Through the Centers, individuals and families can also access assessments in the following areas: psychiatry psychological testing, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, substance use, risk assessment, and trauma assessments.
