School-Based Counseling and Testing Services

Program Snapshot

The Y.O.U., Inc. Family Centers are also home base to our comprehensive School-Based Services program, which offers a wide range of individual and group counseling, consultation, training, psychological testing services and risk management evaluations to public schools across the area.

Students in elementary, middle and high schools who are experiencing emotional, psychological, behavioral, social and family issues may be referred to the program by their school guidance or adjustment counselors, special education teaching staff, school administrators, or in some cases by psychologists they are already working with. Our clinical staff can offer in-school individual or group therapy as appropriate, as well as provide office-based medication evaluations and family therapy, consultations and classroom observations, and staff trainings.

Just as importantly, program staff can conduct thorough and specialized psychological testing, as well as ADHD evaluations, both on school premises or at the Y.O.U., Inc. Family Center.

Students at a Glance

Clients of the School-Based Counseling Program can be male or female students between the ages of 6 and 18.
