Program Snapshot

The Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative brought structure and definition to the delivery of mental health services to children in the state of Massachusetts. As part of the CBHI initiative, Y.O.U., Inc. serves as a Community Service Agency for the South Central/Blackstone Valley area.

In this role, our agency provides Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) for families, including facilitating care planning meetings and coordinating referrals for all community supports which will augment a family’s treatment. The overriding goal of the program is to increase the family’s ability to cope as they manage a child with serious emotional disturbance, and help the child to improve his or her functioning in the family, in the community, or at school. ICC is a service that uses the wraparound case-planning process to coordinate multiple services and supports, while ensuring that all needs of the child and family are met.

The CSA also provides Family Support and Training utilizing family partners to support and coach parents on navigating through the children’s mental health system.
