The Young Parent Support program provides pregnant or parenting individuals under the age of 24 with support and education related to childbirth and parenting, understanding healthy child development, sexual health, assistance with family planning, and case management support as needed. 

Population Served

  • Individuals under 24 who are pregnant, and/or current parents who live in Worcester, and Southern Worcester County (Bellingham, Blackstone, Brimfield, Charlton, Douglas, Dudley, Franklin, Holland, Hopedale, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Millville, Northbridge, Oxford, Southbridge, Sturbridge, Sutton, Upton, Uxbridge, Wales, and Webster).  
  • Individuals on the LGBTQ spectrum

Overview of Services

Case Managers assist participants in the Young Parent Support program with:

  •   access to and support with navigating the landscape of new and current parent  challenges
  •   support around preparation for the birth of their first or subsequent child(ren)
  •   understanding family planning and pregnancy prevention
  •   budgeting and life skills
  •   support in accessing medical, housing, transportation, and educational needs
  •   mental health and substance abuse issues
  •   positive parenting education and coaching
  •    opportunities to participate in educational and/or support groups with other young parents.

The Young Parent Support program is free, does not require insurance, and mobile – help is available to participants in school, at home, at one of our locations, or in the community.

Referral Information    

Referrals can be made by participants, parents, school personnel, medical providers, mental health practitioners, and any other behavioral health professionals. For more information about the program and referral processes, please contact:
