Juvenile Fire Intervention Program

Program Snapshot

The Juvenile Fire Intervention Program provides assessment services and education for children or adolescents who have a history of fire setting behavior, including curiosity, attempted fires, match play, lighter play, and arson. The program provides an initial screening that determines a client’s motivation to attend the program, followed by a 10-week psycho-educational class that focuses on the prevention of fires. The course also addresses fire safety, fire science, coping techniques, and personal responsibility.
