Description

Y.O.U., Inc. offers therapeutic foster care services for troubled youth able to live in a family setting. This intensive treatment model utilizes a one:one foster family to foster child model to provide a caring therapeutic environment as an alternative to placement in a group setting. Sibling groups are also accepted. Proctor parents work as a part of the clinical team, provide support, supervision, and structure, and provide for all the youth’s needs including basic care, transportation, advocacy, and medical attention.

Population

Youth with histories of abuse or neglect and multiple family problems. Appropriate referrals are youth with a variety of difficulties including aggressiveness, running away, impulse control problems, anger management, emotional issues, and school problems. Most have been unsuccessful in regular foster home or are transitioning back to the community from residential programs. Clients must be able to tolerate living in a family setting.
