Description

Y.O.U., Inc.’s Medical Clerical Program is a 12 week, 360 hour, full-time adult vocational program. Course instruction consists of the following:

Medical Office Procedures and Practices
Medical Terminology
Medical Insurance/Third Party Billing
Diagnostic Coding ICD-9
Procedural Coding CPT
PC Literacy
Life Skills
Workforce Readiness and Retention

Population

A resident of Southbridge or one of its surrounding 11 towns, 18 years or older, 9th grade Language & 7th grade math, meeting either the Department of Transitional Assistance or Workforce Investment Act guidelines for low income eligibility.

Services

• 360 hours of intense classroom training
• Optional internship at either the Boston Road Clinic or Vernon Medical Center
• Full job search and placement assistance with client/employer advocacy
