Description

The BWSP is designed for first generation college bound students with academic potential who are at risk for not successfully transitioning to college. The program is a collaboration between Y.O.U., Inc., Clark University and Worcester Public Schools. The overall program goal is for students to successfully complete their bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university. Throughout the academic year students are provided with academic support services via tutorials, academic counseling, college exploration and admissions assistance. Students meet at Clark University every Saturday.

Population

Students must attend one of four Worcester Public High Schools: Doherty High School, The Accelerated Learning Laboratory School, University Park Campus School, or South High School. Students must be either low income or first generation college.
