Description

The Court Summer Program provides recreational and therapeutic activities which address issues including violence prevention, anger management, and community safety education during a seven-week summer program. The program also provides structured activities that occur every day throughout the summer, including swimming, sports, and cultural and educational field trips.

The program runs four days a week with two sets of groups. The first group attends Monday and Wednesday and the second group attends Tuesday and Thursday.

Population

The program is geared to servicing youth ranging in age from 10-12 years old who are deemed at-risk or who are currently court involved. The program accepts referrals from Worcester Juvenile Court, DSS, Worcester Schools and other Y.O.U., Inc. programs located in Worcester. The program receives funding through the United Way and is free of charge.
