Programs offer a clinically
rich array of services to children and adolescents, which are focused on the
full integration of families in
the treatment process, as well as building on the strengths of
children and adolescents served.
Programs range from intensive
hospital diversion services which
treat children and adolescents who present as clinically complex
and difficult to manage, to the STARR (Short Term Assessment
and Rapid Reunification) programs which serve to maintain
community involvement while quickly reintegrate children back into
the community. Specific interventions offered include, but are not limited
to, intensive medication management by a board certified
child psychiatrist, individual, group, and family counseling by
licensed clinicians, intensive case management, and occupational therapy services.
Assessment and Crisis Stabilization
Services also offer education programs as part of the treatment experience.
For children who cannot be maintained in the community for behavioral reasons,
specific programs maintain a full educational program that is
recognized by the Worcester Public School system. Y.O.U., Inc. also offers
programs that are able to keep children connected to their school of origin
by providing transportation
services to school.
