In our Special Education Middle and High School setting, students with emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties participate in a continuum of services that promote individual success. These services are available at two distinct campuses; the Mary Elizabeth McGrath Educational Center in Millbury, MA, and the Kathleen Burns Preparatory School in Worcester, MA. Each campus offers individualized support through a low student-teacher ratio, assessment, academic instruction, therapeutic milieu, and a behavior management program.
The Bruce Wells Upward Bound Program is designed for low-income, first-generation college bound high school students. We offer an academic enrichment program, individualized support and information services regarding applying for academic assistance, college tours, and SAT preparation. Services are available to High School youth at six Worcester High Schools.
The Education for Employment Program offers assistance
to out of school youth ages, 16-21, who wish to obtain a GED, re-enter the
world of work, pursue post-secondary education, and enhance their employment
skills. These services are provided at 4 locations throughout Central Massachusetts:
Uxbridge, Southbridge, Webster and Worcester.
