To be eligible for services, students must be low-income, first-generation to enter college, and attend one of the program’s six target schools – the Accelerated Learning Laboratory, Doherty Memorial High School, South Community High School, North Community High School, Burncoat High School, and University Park Campus School.
Program services are provided through two distinct components, the Academic Year and the Summer Component. During the Academic Year Component, students receive academic support services via tutorials, academic counseling, college exploration, admission and financial aid assistance. Students meet after school and on Saturday mornings at Clark University. The Summer Component is a five-week academic enrichment program that is held on the Clark University campus. Students are allowed to reside in Clark University dormitory rooms, take courses in Clark University classrooms, and participate in an internship/work study for twelve-hours per week.
