Y.O.U., Inc. offers a variety of volunteer opportunities as well as undergraduate and graduate internships working with children, teens, and young adults. The intensity and duration of the experience can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Volunteers and interns can work in our diagnostic centers, residential group homes, education and vocational programs, community-based services programs, or our outpatient counseling centers.

Graduate and undergraduate internships, as well as volunteer opportunities, may involve working with children, adolescents, teen parents, and/or families, and may be customized to include experience in the following service areas and settings:

  • Outpatient counseling (individual, family and group)
  • School based counseling (school adjustment counseling)
  • In-patient and residential/milieu treatment (acute and long term)
  • Home based support services
  • Substance abuse treatment
  • Special education (middle and high school level)
  • Psychosocial and treatment groups
  • Assessment and diagnostic services (ADHD, sexual offender, fire setting, psychosocial)
  • Psychological testing
  • Mentoring
  • After school Activities
  • Case management services
  • Administration and Quality Management
  • Research
