George Bernardin Oxford House

Educational Services

Oxford House is an active partner with several public and private schools, and so is able to match a resident to a school that best fits with their individual learning needs. Many of the Oxford House boys have 504 educational plans requiring Special Education/Alternative Education schools.

These schools include the Mary Elizabeth McGrath Educational Center, Kathleen Burns Preparatory School, and the Grow School.

Other residents attend Oxford Middle School, Oxford High School, Bay Path Vocational School, and Project Coffee. Residents also benefit from the supplemental help offered by the Oxford House Title 1 tutor, a joint program of Y.O.U. Inc.’s Oxford House and the Oxford Public Schools.

Oxford House maintains frequent communications with all schools, attends all school and Individual Education Plan meetings, and facilitates parents’ involvement in their child’s school life by assisting them to attend school meetings and conferences. At the Oxford House, staff support and encourage clients to participate in extracurricular activities in the schools they are attending.
